Capture what moves you — by voice
Echo Journal is a journal you speak rather than write. Every entry — an echo — consists of an audio recording, a mood, a short description and any number of topics. With very little effort, this builds a personal picture of your moods over days and weeks.
At its heart is a custom-designed timeline: each echo shows its mood and the recording as an amplitude waveform, and can be played back right there. All data stays locally on the device.
- Echoes timeline — audio entries grouped by day, with mood, description, topics and a playable waveform
- Mood and topic filters — filter entries by excited, peaceful, neutral, sad or stressed, and by topic
- Quick record — press and hold to record — as easy as a voice message on WhatsApp
- Custom UI — bespoke components such as the timeline with audio amplitudes and interactive elements
- Settings — set a default mood and default topics for all new echoes
- Home screen widget — start a recording straight from the home screen, without opening the app first
- Splash screen — an engaging app launch using the official Android SplashScreen API
